Wearable Art

Clothing and Textile Creations

These works explore character, movement, and presence on a larger scale than her jewelry. Materials, shapes, and silhouettes become expressive elements, each piece carrying its own narrative through the way it rests, drapes, or shifts on the body and in the striking images depicted. These aren’t just garments or accessories—they’re intentional statements meant to be worn with awareness.

Hannibal

“Hannibal” is inspired by Hannibal on NBC. The two main characters meet in a church in Italy. The pattern on the shirt honors that location. The bleach I used to paint oxidized to a warm rust, similar to blood when cleaned.

Bug Barbie Shirt

I went to see, Barbie at the Hollywood bowl for my birthday and wanted to make a  “Bug Barbie” shirt.

Saltburn

This tank top was painted with bleach. The Saltburn words played off the title sequence of the movie. Below is the bathtub, a scene that made many audience members gag and squirm in their seats.

War Isn't Murder Tapestry

I made this tapestry for my Rhetorical Arts class in college. Inspired by lyrics from Jesse Welles “War isn’t Murder”, while the song itself is upbeat and folky, the lyrics are meant to be taken in the opposite way. The old-timey movie theater sign has “Breaking News: War is not Murder” as well as “Get on your knees and pray” both lyrics from the song. Decapitated heads hang from the lights and the blood goes directly into a large vase which is then poured into lemonade glasses being sold for 35 dollars each: “Grown in the USA”. The money from the lemonade is blown into a cemetery, with a dirt mound with, “Your son next?”. The lemonade worker is large with a smile as a tiny man on top of him points a gun at the flag pole. On the flag pole, a dove with two olive branches sits above a lynched person. On the bottom right, parking meters are seen with a woman skewered by one. A splotch of red paint reads “Lets talk about dead people”.
